Frequently Asked Questions

Alaska Fishing Trips

What gear do we need?

The only gear that a person would need to bring is rain gear – all fishing gear is provided on all guided fishing trips. We also have fishing gear and hip boots available for rent for those who’d like to fish on their own, something that other guide services do not offer.

How much fish can we take with us?

There is no set pound limit on how much fish a person can take home with them. However, the State of Alaska has daily limits and yearly limits. For example, a person is allowed to keep 4 halibut for the year, with the limit being 2 per day. King salmon are the only salmon that have an annual limit, which are 5 per person per year. All other species of salmon do not have an annual limit, just a daily limit. Your guide will inform you of all limitations at the time of your charter.

Most clients take home somewhere between 50 and 100 pounds of fish from 5 or more days of charters, which is not counting fishing they do on their own. Trust us when we say you will go home with smiles on your faces and your freezers full – we are good at what we do.

What kind of lodging do you have?

We have several types of lodging: cabins on the river to cabins overlooking the Cook Inlet and Aleutian Mountains. All of our lodging comes with in-unit kitchens, giving you the opportunity to save money by cooking your own meals. Our guests always tell us that we have a million-dollar view right out our back door.

Is it shared lodging?
